CBAM

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism prices certain embedded emissions in goods imported into the EU.

CBAM initially covers products including cement, iron and steel, aluminium, fertilisers, electricity and hydrogen. Importers need data on embedded emissions and must reconcile certificates in the definitive phase. European Commission: CBAM guidance
