Embedded emissions

Embedded emissions are the greenhouse-gas emissions generated while an imported product is made.

For CBAM, direct and, where relevant, indirect emissions are calculated using prescribed methods. Verified production data from the factory is the strongest basis; default values may apply when data is unavailable.
