Empty space ratio

The empty space ratio measures how much of a shipping package is unused compared with the product volume.

The PPWR limits unnecessary void space in transport and e-commerce packaging. The calculation compares internal package volume with product volume, and dunnage can affect the result. Check the regulation and implementing rules for dates and exemptions.
